Project Overview:
For Louise and Adam’s whimsical, Wonderland-themed wedding, I designed a Save the Date that was anything but ordinary. Inspired by their love of the surreal and storybook-worthy, the concept was to surprise guests with something playful, unexpected, and utterly memorable: a custom Save the Date printed on real playing cards.

Design Concept:
Leaning into the fantastical spirit of Alice in Wonderland, I created a card design that balanced Victorian charm with bold modern typography. The front featured an illustration reminiscent of vintage playing cards—with the couple portrayed as a stylized Queen and King of Hearts—while the back included all the essential Save the Date details.

Rich reds, inky blacks, and soft cream tones mirrored classic card palettes, while subtle nods to tea parties, rabbits, and roses made the design feel like a page from Wonderland itself.

Deliverables:

• Coordinating packaging concept for mailing

• Illustration and typography assets for full wedding suite

Outcome:
A one-of-a-kind Save the Date that doubled as a keepsake—charming, curious, and perfectly tailored for a wedding that promises to be full of magic and mischief.
